My “We Were Liars” TV intro was completed in the fall of 2023 as part of a motion graphics course. The objective of this project was to choose a book that has not been made into a TV show already, and create our own intro for that book.

We Were Liars  is known for its twist ending, taking a very sudden and dark turn while the rest of the book is what seems to be a feel-good summer story. Because of this, I wanted the scenes in my intro to be teenagers on the beach enjoying summer time, but I wanted the music to bring a sense of mystery and dread to allude that there is more to the story than what the clips (or beginning of the book) portray.
